There are some words about our museum.

The director of the museum.

We invite you to our museum "Treasures of the past". Our museum was founded in 2005. The first exhibits were collected by the teaching staff and the school's employees. And in 2011 our museum was turned into a history museum.  During this period the exhibits of four expositions of the museum were collected. The main sections of the exposition are:

- Belarusian house;

- Art of Lida;

- The streets of our city were named after them;

- Heroic way of the 48th division.

1 guide:

At the entrance of our house we have a narrow oven. It takes an important place at the Belarusian house. Ancient people slept on it, cooked in it, and relax there. Near the oven there was a poker, pitchforks and a shovel.

3 guide.

The most important Belarusian food is bread. Bread was baked with corn.  Belarusians love the bread. To throw out the bread is a deadly sin.

Potato is the second bread. Belarusians know thousands of recipes. They can bake potatoes, fry, stuff them.

The main course was sour-crout. There were some dishes such as milk soup, cold soup, mushroom soup. On the other hand, people ate porridge, crepes, eggs.

There is a special place in the corner of rhe house. At Christmas and at Easter the owber of the house stayed on this place. There were the images of Jesus Christ and the saints over the table.

There is a churn in front of you. Women uesd it to cook butter and sour cream

Look at the crockery. clay dishes. Yon can use it even today.

This is a jug. People use it to keep milk

Ther were a lot of Baskets. Sausage and meat were dried up in these places for centuries.

In winter, Belarusian people weave baskets, tapestry, sew clothes and embroider.

One of the oldest trades of Belarusians is weaving. Flax was a favourite plant among the Slavic people. It was used to sew clothes, cloths etc.

People used beautiful towels during the wedding.
