A museum room was opened by the order of the director of secondary school No. 14 of Lida on August 30, 2005. The school historical and local history museum was opened by the order No. 393 of the director of secondary school No. 14 of Lida on December 19, 2011.
Since 2005, the students and their teachers have been purposefully studying the history of their native region. During this period, exhibits for four expositions of the museum have been collected. The main sections of the exposition are:
- Belarusian cottage;
- Art of Lida;
- The streets of our town are named after them;
- The heroic way of the 48th division (temporary).
The exposition “Belarus cottage” presents household items of the late XIX - early XX century. The material about the traditions of the Belarusian people was collected.
The exposition "Art of Lida" presents the work of students and their teachers of secondary school No. 14 of Lida.
The exposition “The streets of our town are named after them” presents the material about the participation of fellow countrymen in hostilities on the liberation movement on the territory of the town, information about monuments of the town.
The exposition “The heroic way of the 48th Division” presents the material about Lida during the Great Patriotic War, about the liberation of Lida from fascists.
All the collected material is made up of the school museum fund, which consists of.... exhibits of the main fund and..... exhibits of the scientific and auxiliary fund.
The main document of accounting and storage of materials of the museum is the Book of Accounting of Exhibits of the Main and Scientific and Auxiliary Funds. There are acts of acceptance for exhibits that have been permanently stored in the museum in recent years, and there is also a Book of Reviews.
